Jakarta Visit

Posted By: Zac on March 17, 2008 at 12:05 pm

I was in Jakarta over the weekend to visit a good friend of mine, Jim Meidi.

Jim is a pioneer internet marketer in Indonesia. He invited me to Jakarta to take a look at the opportunity in Jakarta.

My last visit to Jakarta was in 1999 and the city has gone through a lot of changes today. It is buzzing with opportunity now. With a population of about 1/4 of a billion people, this market is so huge.

There’s a lot of business opportunity if you are into business – education, trading, import and export, retail, real estate, food and beverages and the list goes on and on.

I was shown around the city and had a chance to visit the Computer Fair in Jakarta. It is a computer and IT show which really attract thousands of visitors. It was like a rock concert with thousands of buyers flocking in to buy the latest notebooks and computer accessories. It was cool plus madness. The place is full of people buying all the latest IT stuffs.

Below is a crowd of buyers all wanting to buy the latest notebook. So as you can see, a lot of Indonesians are now getting a piece of notebook so they can get connected online. It’s the trend now in Indonesia. Internet is really buzzing in Jakarta.
