Do you really want to make money from your blog? Or are you just happy with the way they are now? Most bloggers will be going through this crisis at least once in their entire blogging life – to make money or just to have people visit their blog.
Yes I think most do want to make extra money from their blog yeah but most of them are either scared or worried to actually go all the way with it.
Making money with a blog is not easy but I will say it’s not too difficult either. I have provided my 8 simple ways to making money with your blog and I hope it will help all bloggers who wants to make money with their blog. If you follow closely, you should have a winning blog in no time.
1. Money Makers you should have: Advertisement is the key thing in making money with your blog. Once your blog has been setup, it needs to be filled with advertisements and you have couple of choices. My top choices are Google Adsense, Adbrite,BidVertiser Bidvertiser, Text-Link-Ads. Each site gives you the options to place advertisements on your websites. Do some research on each and the rates at which they will pay you. There are all kinds of options out there and your site may benefit from having different ads than my favorites. These are your moneymakers so make sure they are going to appeal to your audience and make sure you place them at the most strategic place on your blog.
2. Good and quality content: To have a successful money making blog you need traffic and in order to get traffic you need to have great content. Write good content to attract traffic to your blog. If you don’t write anything good that anyone wants to read, how do you expect to get traffic and ad clicks? Keep your writing fresh and entertaining; the last thing the blog world needs is another duplicated blog which they have read it somewhere.
3. Keywords: Keywords are everyone’s best friend and you must have heard it thousands of time. It’s always keyword keyword keyword and you are hearing it again from me. It helps your post to come out in the searches when anyone search for the related topics.
4. Breaking News: Be the first or among the first to break the news about your topic can attract many readers to your blog. This can send your page views to the roof. Monitoring related forums and other major news site like yahoo news or google news can be your biggest resource when looking for new topics that have not yet surfaced in the blog world. Browse through it in the night and write about it in your blog for the peak hour rush the next morning.
5. Promotion: This will be the longest and toughest work that you will need to do for your blog. Once you have some content and advertisements in place, your next step is to get your blog out to as many websites and people as possible. You have to get it out to as many blog search engines out there to receive some traffic and are a good idea to join. Make sure you submit your site to Google, Yahoo and possibly to MSN. Write a short articles and send it to the article directory will help in your traffic and also your credibility.
6. Social Bookmarking: JOIN DIGG, Technorati AND DEL.ICIO.US! If you do not know what these are, please visit them immediately. Each article you write should be placed on all 3 of these 3 websites. Every time an article of yours is DUGG, you stand a great chance at earning some traffic. Every successful blogger should become a master with social bookmarking
7. Blogroll: Creating a solid BlogRoll is a step you cannot miss. Linking to other relevant sports blogs can be a great asset to you and why is that so? Exchanging links can be a blog’s best friend if you can do it. The easiest way to do it is of course to simply ask the owner of the site. You will get yes’s and no’s but just keep working at it. The number of pages you have linking back to you is called your authority and can mean thousands of page views depending on how high yours is.
8. Track Your Stats: Find some free blog tracking services. I am using MyBlogLog which can be easily set up with your Yahoo Account. MyBlogLog allows you to track the different websites your readers are viewing and clicking on. It also allows you to see which of your ads are working the best and getting the most action. You can join communities and add friends to your MyBlogLog; it has been instrumental for me in growing my blog. Without the ability to track your stats, you will have no idea on how your blog is actually doing. I also use Google adsense tracking services to track my ads and it also let you view your ad clicks in their reports.
I hope you find this step valuable and drop some comment to let me know how your blog is doing
