Great ways to promote yourself

Filed Under (Forums, Internet Marketing, Traffic Generation, advertising, backlinks) by Zacky on 09-03-2008

Why many new businesses on the internet fail? Even those with good idea and the best product to back it up also fail. And what is the main reasons they fail, they didn’t follow one simple rule – always Promote yourself. If you are not going to promote your products or yourself how are you ever going to succeed. Their is no need for this to ever happen when promotion can be done so cost effectively.

Below i have listed a few cost effective and easy ways to promote yourself and your products. This will bring you more traffic to your website and more sales if you follow it closely.

1. Write articles, submit them to top article directories or give them away for free to other webmsaters to use on their websites. Tell them that the link back to your website must be kept within the article.

2. Write an ebook and offer it as a free download to other users. You can place link back to your website within the ebook an about the author section.

3. Build an opt-in email list. I build mine via my free ebook download and free gift away in tip 2. Mail your lists at least once a week with interesting articles about yourself and your products. Keep them informed with interesting topics that is happening.

4. Submit your website to web directories. Their are many free web directories around and they are a great way of building backlinks to your website.

5. Add your websites URL to your email signature so that every time you send an email out, you are promoting your website.

6. Participate in forum discussions which is related to your product. Place a signature with your website in your forum profile. So every time you participate in any discussion, your website link will appear in your signature.

When you start using these tips you will start to see a steady increase of traffic to your website. If you would like to add anything to the list above, please leave your comments below and I will really appreciate that.
