Google on Steroid

Posted By: Zac on April 9, 2008 at 10:02 am

Is it just me or Goggle is now on steroid? As a professional full time online marketer, we have to keep up and know what is going around Google. Well, if not much, at least we still need to know what is Google up to. As much as I try not to bother with the mumbo jumbo page ranking stuffs because Goggle has drove a lot of marketers crazy and I don’t want to end up  crazy like the rest.

I’ve had most of my targeted keyword on top ranking and like any professional marketers, I do keep track and monitor those keywords on daily basis. For years now, they’ve move up and down but most don’t leave the first or the second page.

But lately, I see a lot of new links jumping up the list. Links you have never seen or heard of jumping and taking the top position. It’s moving up and down like index on stock exchange, much to my comfort. Even six or nine months ago, it seems to be more stable than now.

Ranking in Google is more dynamic now and they can change every day by day. Google used to have updates like every four or five months where they will do major updates on keyword and page ranks on your site could have major jump up or down in Google index.

But has things change now? Has Google page ranking system been stepped up, updating daily or even updating on the fly or are they on steroid?

This has caused a lot of discomfort with me and I am sure a lot of people are also puzzled by what is going on with Google.
