I have been doing some searching and analysing for awhile about all the big sites on the net, for example, myspace, youtube, facebook, and even those tops forums and article directories etc etc.

These are high traffic sites and we all know that. They receive hundreds of thousand and millions of hits everyday.

There’s some similarity in these kind of sites.

Number one, they are all web 2.0 site.

Number two  is that all the content in the site are uploaded by users. So the users are the one providing the contents for the site thus making it popular. The webmaster who owns the site can’t possibly be doing the contents all by themself. They need massive number of users uploadng contents into their site.

After realizing this pattern, this is where the big money is. It’s in making sites where users will be more than willing to upload contents into the site.

Go and find a niche where you will get users to upload content into the site. If it is popular, you can guarantee that it will generate massive traffic and the site will grow by itself.

What’s the first thing that you have to do before jumping into the internet marketing world? Why most people get confused after jumping into internet marketing?

Most of the time we will hear this among those that are new to internet marketing – information overload. Internet marketing can be very simple and can be very complicated if you are confused with so many information telling you about most of the things that you don’t need to know.

Stop looking for the most ultimate product to do! That is not your market.

My advise for those new to internet marketing is to keep it simple. Concentrate more on the important things – getting the basics right and focus. The rest will comes naturally.

You need to have great ideas too. With great and creative ideas, it’s easier for you to start moving around. Build your infrastructure around your idea. Most of them think that they need to do everything right from website buildup, products, promotion and so on.

The idea of internet marketing is about selling on the internet. It’s all about marketing. Well, if you are good in all that stuffs like building a website and products, that’s good for you but if you are not, try not to waste too much time in that. Get it outsourced to a reliable third party to get it done so you can focus more in marketing and promoting your product.

When someone who just started internet marketing, it’s exactly like the picture of the baby shown above. A newborn baby with very little knowledge about anything. And they will grow up and learn one thing at a time.

So it’s the same for those who just started to learn about internet marketing. learn one thing at a time so not to get information overload.

Internet marketing is not about making instant money like what most people think. There’s a lot of hard work that need to be done and I can tell you honestly that, money don’t comes falling from the sky if you never work for it. Same goes to internet marketing.

So if you think of making fast instant money when you just started internet marketing, you will be so disappointed. I am not trying to scare you away. But hey, let’s be realistic here. I’m telling you the truth about making money on the internet.

Like all other business, there’s effort that need to be put into it. There’s credibility that needs to be build. There list or lead that you need to build. And most importantly, you need to learn from the right person, from people who has already been making money on the internet.

Why niche marketing?

The advantage of niche product marketing is huge.

Firstly, you can’t possibly control the whole market. SO going into a niche for the particular market, will zoom in to the targeted people in the market.
How do you eat an elephant? You eat it bit by bit.

Secondly, it a market easier to control rather than going head on into the big market where competition is high. So when you go into a niche market, the number of competition is low.

Thirdly, it’s easier to be an authority in a niche market. Just make sure the market is something that you know a little bit or a lot. This will help to establish your credibility in your market. When you are an authority in that market, people tend to hear you out easier.

Fouthly, it will be easier for you too move on to your next product in the same niche when you have already establish credibility in that market. So product life cycle will increase instead of just one product.
